Official: Sanchez leaves United on loan

Its official, Alex Sanchez has joined Inter Milan on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

It’s a story that has been in the mix most of the summer. It is understood, that the sticking point was the player’s wages.

United have agreed to cover 6 million of the player’s salary. So now it has finally happened.

We brought you yesterday at Ronaldo.com that Sanchez was at Milan airport to complete the deal. This evening it is complete.

Although Alexis Sanchez may have let the cat out of the bag a little earlier with his social media tweet to his former United teammates.

United’s official take on the matter was rather short and to the point. Their website manutd.com read:

“Manchester United and Internazionale have agreed a loan deal for Alexis Sanchez.”

“Since completing a transfer from Arsenal to United in January 2017, Alexis has made 45 Reds appearances and scored five goals in all competitions.”

“We wish Alexis well for his season-long loan at Internazionale.”

While Inter Milan went to the lengths of welcoming their new striker with a biography of the players upbringing and heritage.
Their official statement was perhaps a jibe at United’s style of play not suiting the player.
According to their official website inter.it, the statement read:
“Throughout Alexis Sanchez’s life, football has always represented everything, and he has always been happiest with a ball between his feet.”
“From now on he’ll have a chance to do this in Nerazzurri colours.”
“So, on behalf of the entire Nerazzurri family, we’d like to wish him a very warm welcome and the best of luck. #WelcomeAlexis”
