Tottenham Hotspur has taken up the option to buy and made Giovani Lo Celso’s loan deal a permanent one.
The club officially announced today that they had exercised their option to buy. With the fee rumored to be around 32 million Euros.
The Argentine midfielder Lo Celso struggled under the previous manager Mauricio Pochettino. He only made one start from September up until December.
Much of that time was blighted by injury and a lack of form. His total of 20 appearances was mainly limited to minor cameo roles.
However, the former PSG player appears to have made some progress under new boss Mourinho.
He has in fact, stated the last four games, two in the league and two in the cup. Plus got his first goal for the club in the FA Cup match against Middlesborough.
According to the clubs official website, tottenhamhotpsur.com, he has penned a five and a half year deal.

“We are delighted to announce that we have exercised the option to convert the loan of Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis Balompié to a permanent transfer.”
“Gio has signed a contract with the Club until 2025.”
