Tottenham Hotspur has officially announced the signing of Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg from Southampton, while Kyle Walker-Peters moves the other way.
Tottenham Hotspurs have unveiled their first acquisition of the summer.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has arrived from Southampton.
Jose Mourinho will be hoping the 25-year-old midfielder will give some much-needed steel to his side. Although he will hardly be the kind of marquee signing the Lillywhite faithful would have been hoping for.
Mourinho is usually all about bringing in seasoned and accomplished world-beaters, and although Hojbjerg has spent time at the likes of Bayern Munich early on in his career, he has little else to boast about.
The club’s official website made the announcement.
The statement read:
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg from Southampton.”
“The midfielder has signed a contract with the Club until 2025 and will wear the number five shirt.”
The deal sees Kyle-Walker Peters making a permanent move in the opposite direction.
