Chelsea has officially announced that Hakim Ziyech has agreed to the terms of a five-year deal that takes him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Only ten days ago both Chelsea and Ajax confirmed that they had reached an agreement for Hakim Ziyech. This would see the Morrocan international switch the Johan Cruyff Arena for Stamford Bridge.
Just now Chelsea announced that they have now concluded negotiations with the player too.
The statement on the club’s official website chelseafc.com, confirms that he will arrive on a five-year deal in the summer of 2020.
The statement read:
“Chelsea Football Club can today confirm that Hakim Ziyech has agreed the terms of a five-year contract.”
“The Moroccan international will remain at Ajax for the rest of this season. Making the transfer to Stamford Bridge in the summer.”
Ziyech himself said:
“I am delighted and proud to have signed for such a huge club as Chelsea.”
“I am looking forward to next season and hope we can achieve great things together.”
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia concluded:
“We are delighted Hakim will be joining us in the summer.”
“Having been a key target of the clubs in this last window.”
“He has consistently been one of the most dangerous attacking players in Europe in recent years.”
“Which we saw first-hand in our two games against Ajax in the Champions League.”
“We wish Hakim and Ajax all the best for the rest of the season.”
“We look forward to welcoming him to Stamford Bridge in the summer.”
