Marcos Rashford scored a brace to secure a crucial European win for the Red Devils.
Manchester United defeated Omonia 3-2 in their Europa League game on Thursday. A brilliant second-half display saw the Red Devils leave the GSP Stadium with three points.
Rashford strikes again!
Man Utd struggled to find their feet in the game, while Omonia created a number of early chances.
The hosts eventually opened the scoring through Karim Ansarifard in the 34th minute, forcing United to attack deeper in the second half.
United came close to suffering counter-attack blows a few times after half-time. However, their quick comeback got Omonia by surprise.
Marcus Rashford made it 1-1 in the 53rd minute before Anthony Martial put Man Utd ahead ten minutes later.
Omonia pushed for the equalizer, but Erik ten Hag’s men retained their dominance over possession. Following a precise assist from Cristiano Ronaldo, Rashford made it 3-1 for the guests from close range.
The hosts got back into the game only a minute later, but their late efforts were not enough to produce a second equalizer.
The victory puts United in second place on the Group E table as they stay behind leaders Real Sociedad.
