Arsenal completed the Premier League season without encountering a single defeat under Arsene Wenger on this day in 2004.
Today marks the 16th anniversary of the 2003-04 Arsenal team achieving the remarkable feat of going the entire Premier League season unbeaten.
The Gunners started the season on a bounce with four consecutive victories and a few draws resulting from their slip in form saw them enter the new year behind Manchester United in the league table.
Come March, they had regained their lead. A visit from Manchester United proved to be one of their toughest tests but they eventually managed to scrape a 1-1 draw.
Arsenal famously secured the Premier League title at White Hart Lane, home to arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur back then.
By the end of all 38 games, they had registered 26 wins and 12 draws.
Thierry Henry collected the Golden Boot having scored 30 goals in 37 matches while also being named as the Player of the Season. Arsene Wenger was honored with the Premier League Manager of the Season award.
