‘Super Frank’ had no rival in the midfield department throughout his career. He became arguably one of the greatest midfielders of all-time, reaching double figures in terms of goals for 10 consecutive seasons. Nobody can contest his spot among the best Premier League players ever.

The Englishman first appeared in the English top-flight at West Ham United, where he scored 24 league goals in 150 games. But it wasn’t until Lampard made a €16m transfer to Chelsea in 2001 when he truly became world-class.

The midfielder was gifted with astute vision, creativity, and lethal scoring ability. These traits made him indispensable for Chelsea, rescuing the club frequently in the important moments. He also inspired them to three Premier League titles.

Lampard has since put his legacy on the line by becoming Blues manager. So far, he’s done a smashing job under difficult circumstances and will hope to restore the club to its former glory in the near future.
