2. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) – 180* goals
* Stats correct as of June 29, 2020.
The only active Premier League player to enter this list is Aguero, who sits fourth amongst the highest overall scorers in history. He could even challenge for a top-two spot before his career ends.
The Argentine has been sublime for Manchester City since completing a €40m transfer from Atletico Madrid. Nothing has daunted him in the English top-flight, no matter the circumstances. Aguero has always delivered something special in the northwest of England.
There have been title-winning goals, great solo efforts and loads of lethal finishes courtesy of ‘Kun’.
Aguero’s most famous moment is perhaps his injury-time winner against QPR in May 2012, which ensured City of a first Premier League title. He’s also reached the 20-goal mark six times in his nine seasons.
The striker even surpassed Thierry Henry as the league’s record foreign goalscorer earlier this term.
