1. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) – 183 goals
Topping the list of one-club Premier League goalscorers is Manchester United and England’s very own record goalscorer.
Rooney became a household name at only 16 years old upon scoring a winner against Arsenal in October 2002. It not only ended the Gunners’ 30-match unbeaten run, but made him the youngest Premier League scorer ever at the time.
A €37m transfer to Manchester United followed in 2004 as Rooney’s star status grew after the European championship. He then scored a stunning debut hat-trick against Fenerbahce, which marked the beginning of a long and glorious career at Old Trafford.
The forward spent 13 seasons as a Red Devil, scoring a club-record 253 goals in 559 games. 183 of those goals came in the Premier League itself. This not only made ‘Wazza’ the highest one-club scorer in history, but it won him five league titles.
Unless his current side Derby County win promotion for next season, however, Rooney will likely have to concede this record to Aguero soon.
