Sandro Rosell suggests Neymar is still suited for FC Barcelona’s style of play and that the club should focus on bringing him back.
FC Barcelona have continued to be linked with the re-signing of Neymar ever since he completed a world-record €222 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
Those associated with the Catalans also have never been shy of admitting their desire to see Neymar once again join forces with the club.
Head coach Quique Setien recently added fuel to transfer speculations as he outlined his ambition to coach the Brazilian someday.
Even Lionel Messi has claimed in the past that his former teammate was having second thoughts over the decision to quit Camp Nou and that he desired to return. Messi also admitted that he wanted the same.
And now former club president Sandro Rosell has chimed in. Rosell, who served the club when they signed Neymar from Santos back in 2013, also labeled the PSG forward as the world’s second-best player.
“If I were the president of Barca, I would try to sign Neymar,” he told Radio Marca.
“He is the second-best player in the world after Messi and fits perfectly into the philosophy of the club.
“But with experience, I would sign him with two contracts, one sports and the other behavioral.”
