Pep Guardiola has opened every Manchester City season with 3 points, giving the Hammers even more to think about.
According to the Premier League official website, Pep has won all three of his opening games whilst being Manchester City boss and with West Ham starting off the clubs 19/20 campaign, three points will be the target.
The season starts next weekend and Pep having established himself as the king of Matchweek 1 fixtures, will look to continue in similar fashion.
The Spaniard shares the title with ex-Nottingham Forest manager Frank Clarke, who have both enjoyed three wins out of three on their opening weekend ventures.
Edged out: Jose Mourinho is a recognizable name sitting in third, averaging 2.80 points in opening games. Although, the self-regarded “Chosen One” does have ten appearances to Pep’s three and managed to stay unbeaten despite being slightly imperfect.
Jurgen Klopp’s name also appeared on the list, winning two of his opening three games.
It would seem West Ham have enough factors to worry about when it comes to the Manchester club, however Guardiola plans to add to that. With the Spaniard having his players raring to go from the opening whistle. It will be important that Manuel Pellegrini has the London based club prepared on all cylinders.
Manchester City will be looking to continue where they left off last season. Winning the Premier League and racking up 98 points in the process.
