Time to talk about the reason why we believe Borussia Dortmund actually has a chance to fight back against Tottenham Hotspur next Tuesday.

We truly believe that German side Borussia Dortmund actually has a chance to come back from the initial 3-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday, they got a painful defeat in the Champions League’s Round of 16 but they actually have a shot at a shocking comeback.

If we thought a month ago about the German club’s chances to beat the Spurs were high and then got a heartbreaking result on the first leg, the most recent form that the Tottenham has been offering is a major indicator of a squad that is currently against the ropes.

Mauricio Pochettino seems like a defeated manager who no longer has the strength to continue delivering results, the players also seem extremely exhausted and they are going to face a squad that has one of the most youth-filled clubs in the world with some of the most talented players for the future.

The German squad combines young players who have a brilliant career ahead of them with the perfect number of experienced footballers, people who have gone through some very important moments in their careers and are willing to help the younger generations with the daunting task of coming back from a 3-goal deficit.

Another reason why Tottenham Hotspur is currently vulnerable and goes to Signal Iduna Park in a very bad moment is the recent strain of results they’ve been getting in the Premier League, the 2-1 defeat at Burnley was the very first sign of a squad that is not going through the same moment they were when the Germans visited Wembley.

But perhaps the most alarming reason is the most recent loss against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Tottenham Hotspur proved that they have no more gas in the tank and they are dangerously close to a painful defeat next weekend against Arsenal in the North London Derby.

Their performance against Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park will depend directly on what they do against Arsenal, losing the most important match of the season for them could affect their morale on a fundamental level and it could really become the ultimate downfall of their whole season.

Suddenly a 3-0 advantage doesn’t look as reassuring as it did at the beginning, especially when you realize that they are facing the Bundesliga’s leader in a stadium packed with supporters that will make their lives a living hell throughout the 90 minutes.

Finally, Borussia Dortmund got the amazing news that they recovered Spanish striker Paco Alcacer for the upcoming games.

The striker suffered an injury that kept him out of activity for a couple of months and he just returned last week against Bayer Leverkusen, the man didn’t score goals during his side’s 3-2 victory but he did play 90 minutes before getting subbed by Wolf after a great effort.

Paco should be okay to play at Augsburg on the weekend before the Champions League match, which will be a great opportunity for him to get more playing time ahead of the crucial match in which they are going to have to win by at least four goals.

Getting this ticket to the quarterfinals still seems quite complicated, but not as impossible as it was when they first lost at Wembley a few weeks ago.

And of course, Dortmund has Jadon Sancho to help them overcome this complicated challenge, a London-born kid who has become the Bundesliga’s revelation this season and is currently in top form to play against anyone.

This should be one of the most interesting matches of the week for anyone who has been following both squads in recent weeks, people who visit Signal Iduna Park will certainly get their money’s worth.
