Several reports from the Spanish media suggest that Paris Saint-Germain are keen on trading Neymar for Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho.
The whole situation between Neymar and PSG started for a whim from the player, FC Barcelona was pushed to buy Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho after.
The Brazilian player completely backstabbed the Catalan club after leaving, he also broke Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez’s hearts in the process.
Most of the FC Barcelona fans didn’t understand Neymar’s decision to leave, he had everything working perfectly for him where he was.
In fact, we all believed that he would eventually become the ideal replacement for Messi and we were fooled to think that he wanted that future for himself.
It didn’t take too long for PSG to convince Neymar that he needed to leave the Catalan club, he dreamt of becoming the best player in the world at the worst possible destination.
The French giants may have all the money in the world, but we’ve repeatedly explained how those clubs managed by money from countries lack the tradition needed to become great.
Take Chelsea FC for example, that club needs to make gargantuan efforts to win continental trophies and literally spend billions of euros in the process.
PSG is decades away from becoming that type of club, they will be very unstable for years to come and there is nothing they can do about it.

All the French giants can do is take whatever they can from the biggest clubs in the world, just like they did with Barcelona.
When the world knew what Neymar decided, it was clear that Barcelona was forced to act as quickly as possible in order to keep their project going.
The options in the market were limited and the Catalan club was suddenly forced to spend all its money in one or two players, they had no choice.
Then along came Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele, two good players who could potentially become great but weren’t safe bets for the club.
The Brazilian was actually the riskier wager out of the two players, he never proved at Liverpool that he could become the leader.
We all fell under the spell and truly believed he could become the new Andres Iniesta at Barcelona.
Dembele was a slightly different situation, mostly because he really is an incredible talent. However, the French player didn’t do well with discipline at the club and he is considered a flop.
Things would’ve worked out better if PSG just decided to sign those two players instead of Neymar back in 2017.
We might just end up with the French giants getting the same two players that Barcelona spent €222 million to sign after Neymar left.

PSG’s demands at too high for Barcelona.
As we’ve discussed in previous articles, Paris Saint-Germain set the price for Neymar in €300 million.
This elevated sum of money is too much for the Catalan club’s economy but they realized there is a chance to negotiate.
The club’s board decided to start exploring the options of including players in the negotiation, their first offer was Philippe Coutinho.
Looking at this Brazilian player as a possible trading card for Neymar, PSG believes that one player is not enough and they have a new demand.
Le Parisien reported that the French giants are willing to negotiate a trade for Coutinho and Dembele combined, but the French player would come on a loan during his first season.
Paris Saint-Germain doesn’t want to violate the Financial Fair Play rules and they will do the same move they completed when Neymar arrived.
In order to get both the Brazilian and Kylian Mbappe, the club took the French youngster on a loan first and they proceeded to pay for him a year later.
Dembele would work in the same fashion, both Barcelona players are keen on making this deal happen.
Neymar is obviously game for whatever, as long as that means he can return to Barcelona.
