We need to discuss why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had such a great start at Man United and now he seems like he can’t handle the squad.
The honeymoon between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Man United has been over for a while, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
The Norwegian manager actually went through a unique moment in the team’s dynamic that benefited him greatly in order to earn his permanent spot.
The squad was coming right out of a terrible experience under manager Jose Mourinho, everybody was hating on the Portuguese boss.
The names who were mostly at odds with the former manager had something to prove and they did it through great results in all competitions.
After this point was proven by these players, there was no more need for them to keep making an effort.
This second disconnect directly affected Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s ideas about the squad and he felt betrayed last Sunday after the Everton defeat.
Solskjaer trusted many of the players who let him down and he is currently feeling that many of them don’t deserve to be Manchester United players.
The decision to let many of them leave the institution will obviously fall on Solskjaer’s lap and the man already stated that he won’t hesitate.

The manager already confessed that many of these players do have the Manchester United DNA but many of them don’t.
He knows in his heart that some of these elements will have to leave the club by next summer but he needs them focused for this match.
The Manchester Derby is one of the very last chances that the Red Devils have to save their season and keep fighting for the Top Four.
Winning this game will grant them another chance at life in the Champions League next season.
But the latest results have even made Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doubts himself. He was asked if he believed that he was really the ideal man for the job and he still responded in a positive light.
“I would like to say yes, but it’s not down to me to say that. I come in here saying I’m going to enjoy every single second of this,” said Ole on Sky Sports.
“I’ve got to make a decision for the club. I’m managing the club and I help the players but I manage for the club.”
“Now is not the time to talk about, or make, wholesale changes in the squad because [that squad] has been doing so great.”
“City and Liverpool have taken more points than us in the last 18 games or whatever it is, and that’s it. That’s a great effort by the boys.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer:
"The City game is the perfect one. There's no hiding place on the pitch and our fans will back you whatever the result will be, so long as you give that effort against a City side that has been very good. We have got to turn up."#MUFC pic.twitter.com/t2SE4HGqBf

Last call to reach that Top Four position
The fight for the Top Four is reaching a tipping point during this midweek fixture in English football.
Chelsea’s unexpected draw against Burnley last Monday granted other squads a unique opportunity they had been waiting for.
Tottenham is the only squad that appears safe from leaving the Top Four position as they play Brighton & Hove Albion later today.
However, Arsenal doesn’t seem as happy because they play at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday.
The Gunners currently have 66 points and Manchester United has 64 so far.
If Unai Emery’s boys lose their match against Wolves, this gives Manchester United a chance to still take that place inside the Top Four if they beat City.
The Red Devils haven’t been at their best in the last few weeks but this game could change the whole season for them.
All they have to do is hold their own against Pep Guardiola’s squad and just keep winning until the end of the season in order to finish inside Champions League positions.
We don’t know how things will end up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad but we can tell you that the latest results are not his fault. The players are the ones to blame, 100%.
"It's about changing mind-sets and making sure our heads are ready, because anyone's heads will drop when you lose like that."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for a reaction v Man City tomorrow night.
