After the incredible scenes at Parc des Princes, Manchester United shouldn’t waste any more time speculating and appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ASAP.
If it wasn’t already clear enough, Norwegian manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can finally put all the speculation to rest as Man United eliminated PSG in a shocking Champions League night that will be remembered for many years to come.
Throughout the season since the caretaker boss took over, the only mistake that Ole made was oddly enough against Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of this series with an unexpected 0-2 defeat.
The odds were completely against Manchester United’s favor due to how many injured players the Red Devils had for this game, they were up to 9 players down with a diverse number of physical problems and they also had a suspended Paul Pogba after the French midfielder got booked during the last match against the Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
Absolutely everybody but Solskjaer and his players were confident that Manchester United would get eliminated tonight, but this Red Devils’ side revived a vintage Manchester United that got epic results under Sir Alex Ferguson.
There is no doubt that after the result from this Wednesday, the club’s board of directors should announce their caretaker boss as the permanent manager and stop all the speculation.

This new result places Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the same level that other great managers were during their first months in charge of the clubs they loved deeply, he can be compared to other great coaches in the modern era such as Pep Guardiola with FC Barcelona or Zinedine Zidane with Real Madrid.
Solskjaer transmits a very similar feeling due to his unique connection with the club, he needs to stop wondering about his future and have the proper time to start planning the next season without that bothering him in the background.
Chairman Ed Woodward has to realize that there is no better man than Ole to take Manchester United to another golden era, he has done more than enough to convince the Glazer family that he should keep this job that he worked so hard for in the last few months.
The players feel a complete connection with him, they respect him deeply and even the ones who were completely doomed have been able to revive in the nick of time to help their teammates.
Paul Pogba must be celebrating profusely after what he witnessed from his teammates, but he must be especially happy for Ole because he knows how difficult this achievement was.

The season is far from over, the Red Devils and their star manager must take tonight to celebrate and start thinking about the upcoming challenge.
United’s next challenge is a major one for next weekend, they will have to visit North London to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, a direct rival in the fight to keep their Top Four position.
Only four days after that, Manchester United will play for another one of the titles they are still fighting for against the mercurial Wolverhampton Wanderers side.
These next two matches ahead are just as important as the Champions League game they played tonight, which is an even greater reason for the club’s board of directors to publicly announce Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the permanent manager and let the man work with his technical staff.
This man has the fortune factor that very few figures in the club’s history posses, he is one of the few who can help the Red Devils continue their already massive legacy that started with legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson back in 1986.
The Manchester United incredible story should continue under Ole, there is no doubt about it.
