We need to talk about the level of performance that Marcus Rashford has been offering lately, he is finally living up to the hype.

We have no idea what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did in order to bring Marcus Rashford back, but he is finally living up to the hype.

At the level of performance he’s been playing lately, we can easily tell you that Marcus Rashford has the ability to score against any rival.

The young England international suffered a dramatic drop that pushed him away from the top players within Manchester United.

It all started when Jose Mourinho decided to give him the number ’10’ jersey, which was vacant after Wayne Rooney left the club.

We all know the legacy that the English legend left at the Red Devils, this is the pressure that Marcus Rashford had to endure at the beginning.

Since that moment until the most recent international break in October, the young player wasn’t able to live up to the hype.

When he started his career under Louis van Gaal, we could all see that Rashford had the skill to become a great player at Manchester United.

The man scored on many of his debuts and he was considered one of the most exciting new talents next to Kylian Mbappe.

But that pressure was too high, the whole Jose Mourinho fiasco affected him just as much as it affected other players.

When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer arrived at United to coach the Red Devils, he knew that he needed to work hard in order to recover several players.

The home products were the ones who took the biggest hits from Jose Mourinho, they got their confidence severed by the Portuguese manager.

It would take a while for the Norwegian boss to get the best out of players such as Rashford or Lingard.

We can already tell that Marcus is completely recovered from that traumatic experience with his previous manager, but Jesse will take longer to return.

Solskjaer doesn’t have a massive staff that can help him improve these players a quickly as he would like, which is why this process is taking so long.

The young forward had to go through another traumatic experience as Manchester United decided to sell two of their more experienced players.

Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez were the veterans who could teach Rashford what he still needed to learn in order to improve even further.

Letting those two players leave the institution wasn’t the manager’s call completely, but he did influence it by thinking Marcus had what it took to become the goal-scorer within the squad.

The plan was to give him the necessary space to feel free and develop his game to a whole new level.

When did Marcus Rashford begin his improvement?

We can pinpoint the exact moment in which Marcus Rashford started making the comeback that everybody was expecting.

It happened when the October international break took place, and he owes this improvement to Gareth Southgate.

The England boss is the man who started working with Marcus Rashford’s confidence, this trust is what brought the best out of the player.

That fantastic solo goal against Bulgaria was the one that started this revival, Marcus has scored seven goals in the last eight matches he’s played.

This includes that ridiculous free-kick against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.

His form also confirms that he is the goal-scorer that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer envisioned when he allowed Lukaku to leave.

During this Sunday’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion, Rashford even dared to pull a few flicks and tricks that are worthy of an elite player.

His revival and Anthony Martial’s recovery are almost divine intervention, the Red Devils urgently needed their most talented players to perform well this season.

Their victory leaves them a little closer to the Top 6 spots, which will be a tough place to crack over the next few months.

Marcus Rashford truly is the amazing player we all thought he was, all he needed was a little motivation.
