After completing his incredible return to Parc des Princes, we predict that Neymar will earn the respect back from PSG supporters.

The situation between Neymar and PSG fans reached a high point today, they booed the player throughout 90 minutes despite his performance.

The Brazilian proved why he is one of the most expensive players in the world, he responded to all the backlash inside the pitch with a tremendous goal.

His celebration was received by cheering and jeering at the same time, it’s clear that the fans don’t want Neymar at the club and they don’t care for him.

But we can already predict he will earn their respect back, the only way to do that is by winning titles at PSG.

We gotta give credit to the courage Neymar has, he doesn’t shy away from his desire to leave the club.

The star spoke to the press for the first time in the last three months, he needed to set the record straight about the whole transfer saga.

Instead of hiding behind a politically correct story that could’ve been pushed by PSG, the man took the criticism and confirmed what everybody was talking about.

Before these statements, we could’ve said anything about Neymar and come up with some phony story about him never actually trying to leave.

However, Neymar has never been a false person and he wanted to speak his mind.

Knowing that the PSG supporters are not happy with him, the player respected their opinion and confirmed that he isn’t after anybody’s approval.

After scoring that stunning winner against Strasbourg, nobody expected him to talk to the press but he came out and surprised everybody.

The Brazilian confirmed what everybody was talking about, and he also expressed how sad he feels for not being cheered by the fans.

“I completely understand the fans and I know this whole situation was hard for them,” Neymar told the press after the game.

“But I am a PSG player from this moment forward. No, I don’t have a particular message for any of them.”

“I am used to getting booed throughout my whole career. Only this time, I will play every match as if we played away from home…”

“Everybody knew that I wanted to leave the club. I said it before and I kept repeating it. I don’t want to go into details about what happened during the negotiations.”

“Each of us knows what we did during that period of time. We have to look forward, we have to think about the next match.”

“I am a PSG player and I will give everything on the pitch for this club. I don’t need the fans to cheer me.”

“I’m staying here and I will defend this club. The response from the fans is always the same. What really matters is to play well and win games,” he concluded.

What’s next for Neymar at PSG?

Now that we know he is truly back to his best form, Neymar has some very interesting weeks ahead fo him.

The Brazilian is about to miss the first of three matches in the Champions League, he will serve a sanction after his comments when they got eliminated by Manchester United last season.

The first game he will miss is against Real Madrid at Parc des Princes next week, he won’t be back until the fourth match of the season in the tournament.

Neymar has a complicated away match next weekend against Olympique Lyonnais, he will surely start for Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

After that, the star will play against Reims at Parc des Princes, and then visit Girondins Bordeaux before serving his second sanctioned match against Galatasaray.

The upcoming month will be crucial for Neymar’s attempt to win the fans back. We believe that if he keeps playing like he did today, the star will earn their respect back before the next international break.

We need to remember that football has no memory, he will have everybody eating by the palm of his hand in no time. This is what talent can do to a fan base, they quickly forget.
