Opinion: Ronaldo is the best goal scorer in football history

There is no other way to look around this, we are sold on the idea that Cristiano Ronaldo is the best goal scorer in football history.

After yet another historic moment in Cristiano Ronaldo’s career, we couldn’t help but realize that he truly is the best goal scorer in football history.

We are unwilling to keep making those annoying comparisons with Lionel Messi, they are vastly different players who deserve credit in their own right.

But we can easily tell you that there is no better goal scorer than Cristiano Ronaldo, he was born to break all the records that present themselves to him during his career.

Today against Lithuania, it was almost as if he didn’t break a sweat when he scored four goals in a single match.

Ronaldo has already scored more than four goals with Portugal twice in his international career, he’s also done the same with his clubs eight times.

Leo only managed to accomplish this feat with Barcelona, he’s done it only six times when he was in his prime.

We know Messi dominates other stats more than Cristiano, but he pales in comparison with the Portuguese star when it comes to scoring goals.

The Champions League record is right there, Ronaldo has a lead of more than 20 goals compared to Leo.

With their national teams, the Juventus star reached an impressive 93 goals throughout his career over Messi’s 68 goals so far.

Age doesn’t matter between Messi and Ronaldo.

Before you begin telling us that Messi is two years younger than Ronaldo, let us stop you right there.

Despite Leo seemed like he is still playing his best football with Barcelona, the major difference between these two is with their National Teams.

This is exactly where the Argentine cannot be compared with powerful Ronaldo, there is a world of difference between these two in that regard.

Whether it’s about titles, goals scored, or their influence in the squad. Cristiano has the biggest advantage compared to Leo, we can’t keep ignoring the facts.

But taking all comparisons aside, we honestly hope that both of these players keep performing until they reach the age of 40.

However, we don’t see Messi going all the way to that age because he wants to enjoy his family a lot more.

Koke, Cristiano Ronaldo, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, UEFA Champions League

Koke insists revenge won’t be on Atletico’s mind

According to Koke, his team might "only hope Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't have his best game" as they play their first game of the UEFA Champions League season.

Ronaldo is a different kind of animal, he lives to break all the records and we have no doubt he will not rest until he has them all in his pocket.

Even though there are players from Portugal who are starting to emerge as possible replacements for Ronaldo, he won’t give up the throne just like that and he will continue to play for his country until he is really old.

We do need to talk about something very interesting that happened today between Ronaldo and his natural heir: youngster Joao Felix.

This was the first match in which both Cristiano and Felix starred together for Portugal, the positions were pretty clear from the get-go.

While Ronaldo performed as a striker for his national team, we had Joao trying to dribble as many defenders as he could from the left-wing.

But the proximity between both players allowed the captain to keep constant communication with his pupil, Ronaldo was on Felix’s radar the whole time.

There was even a curious moment between the two during the first half, it happened right before half time.

Felix took a ball with relative advantage, he decided to take a long-distance shot instead of passing the ball to the box.

Ronaldo’s instinct reaction was to scream at the youngster, he needed to think about the collective instead of himself.

The shot that he took was quite dangerous though, the goalkeeper saved what could’ve been a spectacular goal.

But at this moment, we could already see how much Ronaldo identifies with Felix.

We can easily see a teenage Cristiano taking the same shot and trying to score the goal by himself, Portugal is very lucky to have these two players at the top of their game right now.

Ronaldo is finally happy knowing that he has a player who can properly replace him, or at least try.
