Now that we know who will play the Champions League final, we have to tell you why this has been the most epic in the tournament’s history.
The last two days have been extremely epic, two out of four clubs came out on top to play the upcoming Champions League final on June 1st.
Both semifinals’ first legs deceived the entire world, we were under the impression we were getting an homage to Johan Cruyff from Barcelona and Ajax in the final.
However, the last laugh came from English football as both Liverpool and Tottenham completed the greatest comebacks in recent Champions League history.
In fact, we hadn’t experienced such a thrill since Rafael Benitez’s Liverpool came back from a 3-0 deficit after half time against AC Milan in the 2005 final.
We even dare say that this has been the most spectacular Champions League tournament in history.
We are going to elaborate on that even further because we need you to realize why we made this claim.
Before we begin with our recount of what happened this season in the Champions League.
We have to say that the best possible clubs have qualified to the final and will gift us with a spectacular match at the Wanda Metropolitano.
June 1st can’t come soon enough, we are thrilled to enjoy this game.

It all started with Ajax.
We have to confess that Ajax did seem like an attractive candidate to reach the final even before they reached this series against Tottenham Hotspur.
They were the ones who started this unforgettable 2018-19 edition of the competition, never forget they eliminated champions Real Madrid.
The Dutch squad wrote the first page of a memorable participation in this tournament, they even reminded us of the Ajax from the old days.
Next in chronological order, we have Manchester United eliminating PSG at Parc des Princes.
Nobody ever expected the Red Devils to come back from an initial 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford but they did it.
Even the English giants are still trying to figure out what happened and where that magic went since then.
During the same round of 16, Cristiano Ronaldo made another epic comeback with Juventus by scoring a historic hat-trick that eliminated Atletico Madrid.
What we just told you happened only during the round of 16, and there is still a lot to talk about.
We had a thrilling quarterfinal series on all fronts, some of the best sports entertainment that has ever been recorded.

Ronaldo and Messi’s demise.
The quarterfinals brought us Ajax being the main protagonist again, the young Dutch squad disposed of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus with relative ease.
We also got a thrilling series between Manchester City and Tottenham that gave us an idea of what the Spurs were capable of.
Both Barcelona and Liverpool won their series relatively easily, they met in the semifinal for a very anticipated couple of matches.
Tottenham Hotspur did the same with Ajax and we got the two finalists set before the end of this week.
The two games before the final also gave us an epic conclusion on both fronts. We saw how the powerful Barcelona led by Lionel Messi got axed by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in an unexpected result.
However, the most epic conclusion to a series came from Tottenham Hotspur last night.
Nobody expected this level of performance from a club that had several injured players and apparently no hope for a comeback with only 45 minutes left on the clock.
All of this happened in just one edition of this spectacular tournament, we feel sorry for people who don’t enjoy football.
A thrilling final between the two best clubs in the tournament awaits, we can’t wait for June the 1st to get here. Are you ready?
