We’ve been talking a lot about Luis Suarez after FC Barcelona’s smashing victory against Real Madrid, but we also need to talk about Ousmane Dembele.

Now that we know FC Barcelona will play the upcoming Copa del Rey final at the Benito Villamarin Stadium after beating Real Madrid with a Luis Suarez brace, we also have to discuss how much influence French youngster Ousmane Dembele had in the match until he left the pitch during the final 15 minutes.

The Frenchman is completely back to fitness after the ankle injury he suffered a few weeks ago and he did it in the best way possible, every single time he touched the ball there was a feeling that something different was going to happen in Barcelona’s favor.

With Lionel Messi completely surrounded at all times by the Real Madrid defenders and also playing at a slower pace than the rest of his teammates.

Dembele was the one who took the responsibility of creating the most dangerous moments of the game and he was actually involved in two of the three goals for his club, but he took his participation even further than that as he was the player who did get most of his attempts on point when you compare him to the other quick-paced player of this match: Vinicius Junior.

Where the Brazilian failed to take Real Madrid to victory, Dembele improved in every chance he got and was the absolute cracker of the match next to Luis Suarez.

It really takes Ousmane Dembele only a simple touch of the ball to get past his marker, the ‘Mosquito’ is arguably one of the fastest players in the world right now and he proved it several times at the Santiago Bernabeu this Wednesday.

During the first goal, Ousmane made the fast escapade from Daniel Carvajal and Raphael Varane on the left flank in order to find Luis Suarez with the assist and score the first goal of the evening.

All Real Madrid fans keep talking about Vinicius Junior doing pretty much everything for Los Blancos with his dribbling skills but Dembele actually had a couple of moments where he really became a headache for Carvajal.

There was a specific dribble during the first half in which Dembele made the Spanish right-back literally bite the dust with a step over, the Real Madrid defender wasn’t able to understand what the Frenchman did and he really suffered to prevent the Barcelona player from sending his cross from the left flank.

The second goal for the Catalan club already in the second half, came in a very similar moment but with everything on the right and Dembele leading the way again.

"I'm only focused on tomorrow's game against Cyprus.

Suarez was close to scoring his second goal of the evening after Ousmane’s assists, but Varan got in the way and scored the own goal.

It’s great news that FC Barcelona is not in dire need of Lionel Messi during crucial matches as everybody believed, the Catalan club has recovered another two of their key players on the attack who can be very helpful during this final stretch of the season in all competitions.

Suarez came back to scoring goals and will become essential when Messi is not playing his best football, but Dembele really is the player who can help them win the titles when the time comes to make the real difference in the most important games of the season.

Ernesto Valverde got the best possible news with these two attacking players, just days away from the second Clasico in the same week and a couple of weeks away from their crucial Champions League tie against Olympique Lyonnais at Camp Nou.

This is the exact reason why FC Barcelona paid so much money for a player like Ousmane Dembele when Neymar left, he has a very specific set of skills that no other player in the club can produce and he is the one who can become the unsung hero when the moment comes in any competition.

All the Barcelona fans slept like babies knowing that they really do have one of the most talented wingers in the world, and that he is currently at his best.
