Mesut Ozil is still hopeful the Gunners can secure a top-four finish this season.
Mesut Ozil still believes Arsenal can secure a top four finish and return back to UEFA’s elite competition.
The Gunners are currently ten points off fourth placed Chelsea after four consecutive league draws.
Meaning Ozil and his teammates are more closer to the relegation zone than to the top four.
Arsenal also have another route to the Champions League by winning the Europa League.
But Ozil is hopeful his side will finish in the top four regardless.
“What I know is that I will give everything for this club, for my team-mates. We’ve had a difficult season, but we want to win games again, to take points, to maybe be in the top four at the end of the season. Ozil told the National.
“Our goal is to be in Champions League. This year we had difficult times, but I think we’re in a good way.”
Arsenal take on Newcastle next in the league and Ozil would be looking to make an impact after becoming a regular once again.
