Pablo Mari is happy to play alongside David Luiz in the Arsenal defence and has labelled the Brazilian an unbelievable player.
Pablo Mari joined the Gunners in the winter window as head coach Mikel Arteta looked to bolster his defensive ranks.
The former Man City and Flamengo defender was expected to bring more solidarity in the Arsenal back-line and has looked impressive since joining the club.
Arteta has also voiced out saying he has been impressed with the 26-year-old so far.
Mari made his debut in the Gunner’s FA Cup victory against Portsmouth before getting his Premier League debut in yet another victory against West Ham.
On both occasions, the Gunners kept clean sheets and David Luiz was the second centre-back in the Arsenal defense.
Mari has now taken to praise his partnership with the veteran defender, calling him an ‘unbelievable’ player.
Mari told Arsenal Player: “We know that David is an unbelievable player.
“He’s had a good career and is a good football player, and also playing with him is so easy.
“These two games with him in the starting XI were nice because I only focused on my job and I didn’t need to focus on other jobs.”
“This is easy when you want to have a big game. We know he’s an experienced player and sometimes when you need to do different things in the last minutes, like when you need to make calls or something like this, he can do it. For us, it’s easy to play with him.”
Mari also spoke out on his Premier League debut, saying it was an unbelievable day for him.
“For me, it was an unbelievable day.
“It was a nice night for everybody and we won the game, which is the most important thing. Also my feeling on the pitch was really nice.”
