Papastathopoulos is back in Italy

The Arsenal center-back used to play for Genoa and AC Milan in the Italian Lega Serie A, so he knows what it takes to perform against Napoli.

Earlier in his career, Greek defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos played in the Italian Lega Serie A clubs Genoa and AC Milan.

And now, he’s back to Italy but now representing English Premier League side Arsenal who plays against Napoli in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Quarterfinals.

The first leg ended up in a 2-0 win for the Gunners, who will play on Thursday at Stadio San Paolo with the objective to advance to the Semifinals.

“Tomorrow we have to play like the game is 0-0,” said Sokratis to the club’s official website.

“Napoli is one very good team. It will be difficult for us but we have to be focused for 95 minutes and to do our work, our style of the game.”

“The atmosphere will be very good and I already played a lot here. For us, I don’t think that will change anything. We have the experience, a good team, and we trust ourselves,” he added.
