Lucas Paquetà is keen on emulating legendary AC Milan player Kaka after his €35m transfer from Flamengo.

Paqueta, 21, who landed in Italy to begin training with Milan is the most expensive ever deal from a Brazilian club to Serie A claiming via Football Italia “My dream is to do as well as Kaka.”

He was accompanied on the flight to Milan by father Marcelo, mother Cris, brother Matheus and wife Duda, as well as Rossoneri director Leonardo.

“Kaka was one of my idols and my dream is to do as well at Milan as Kaka did, even if it’s probably not right to make comparisons. I’d simply like to do my job as well as I possibly can.”

Paquetà will wear the Number 39 jersey and begin training with Milan ahead of the Italian Super Cup against Juventus on January 16.

He’ll be presented to the media in a Press conference on Tuesday.

Milan fans are hoping the Brazilian wonder kid fires them to Champions League qualification this season.
