Patrick Vieira set to leave Nice

Patrick Vieira is reportedly on the verge of leaving OGC Nice following the departure of the club’s previous owners this summer.

OGC Nice fans are in for a shocking awakening after it was transpired that Patrick Vieira is set to leave the club.

The legendary France international is reportedly not looking to work under new ownership.

Very soon, wealthy Englishman, Jim Ratcliffe will officially takeover the club with Gauthier Ganaye and Jean-Pierre Rivere set to become a part of the club’s history after leaving in January. However, it appears that the arrival of Ratcliffe is also going to spell an end for Patrick Vieira.

Once Ratcliffe assumes charge of the club, it was thought that Jean Pierre Rivere and Julien Fournier will return as well in the same capacities as previously. Rivere would be the club’s president while Fournier would stay on as the sports director.

Borussia Monchengladbach speed things up to sign Marcus Thuram

Marcus Thuram and Malann Sarr are set to leave France with a move to Borussia Monchengladbach set to be announced this week. For quite some...

However, things have changed drastically. The two men no longer see eye to eye with the new owner apparently and their departures would result in Vieira leaving.

According to L’Equipe, Patrick Vieira had a terrible experience while those two had left. A new organizational chart was made where Gilles Grimandi was the technical director while Matthieu Louis-Jean was the recruitment head.

However, Ratcliffe is reportedly eager to bring back Rivere and Fournier. But that wouldn’t change the coach’s mind. Patrick Vieira addeda  clause to his three year contract last February where if he ever decided to leave because of the return of those two men, he will get a year’s salary n advance.

And while Nice want to hold on to him, it is clear that the former Arsenal midfielder has already made up his mind. Moreover, Patrick Vieira has already shown that he is a great up and coming manager so the Frenchman wouldn’t be short on options if he leaves.
