The agent of Patrik Schick is confident RB Leipzig will sign the forward permanently, but for a much lesser fee agreed in his loan deal.
Patrik Schick’s agent is confident RB Leipzig will purchase the striker outright from Roma, but ‘everyone knows it’ll be for an inferior sum’ to the €29m agreed.
The 24-year-old has spent this season on loan in Germany at a cost of €3.5m.
Schick has rediscovered his form with seven goals and three assists in 19 competitive games.
There is an option to buy the forward for a further €29m, which becomes an obligation if RB Leipzig qualifies for next season’s Champions League.
Schick already has many offers for him but his agent has confirmed they are pushing to agree on a deal with Leipzig. He also added that it could be at a much lesser fee than the price agreed.
“We are in no rush for the negotiations and a decision will be made in mid-to-late June,” agent Pavel Paska told iSport.cz.
“At this moment, there are some very intensive talks, and everyone knows it’ll be for an inferior sum to the one that had been agreed. The loan runs to June 30, so there’s still plenty of time and no need for rushed decisions.
“In my view, it’s going to be a long negotiation process. Schick also has interest from other clubs, but we are completely concentrated on Leipzig.”
