Willie Morgan has launched a scathing attack against Paul Pogba, claiming the Manchester United midfielder is too slow and cumbersome.

The United legend claims that Jose Mourinho must drop the Frenchman in order to have a chance of defeating Liverpool on Sunday.

United travel to Anfield this weekend looking to reduce the gap between both teams to 13 points, after a disastrous start to the 2018-19 season.

The Red Devils have only managed to win seven of their 16 matches in the league so far and face the possibility of missing out on a UEFA Champions League, already eight points behind Chelsea down in sixth place.

Pogba has been criticized for his poor performances over the last few weeks and seems disinterested on the pitch, with rumours of a possible move to Barcelona on the horizon.

“The game against Fulham, albeit it was Fulham, they played really well,” Morgan told Love Sports Radio.

Lindelof hoping Solskjaer gets the job on a permanent basis

Victor Lindelof would like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to retain the managerial position on a permanent basis. Under his fellow Scandinavian Lindelof has become a regular in...

“They were quick, they were moving around, there was no Pogba in the team. He kills everything anyway, he’s just so slow and cumbersome. It was the first time they actually looked like a team.”

“If he puts Matic and Pogba in midfield, the game stops every time they get the ball,” Morgan added.

“So you have got to get the young lads in, a bit of movement, move the ball quicker. Rashford is a free player and can play anywhere, the kid is really good. I think we’ll get a result.”

“Again it comes down to who does he play. If he plays Pogba and Matic we won’t win. If he plays the team that he played against Fulham I think we’ll get a result.”
