Paulinho has agreed on a transfer to return to Guangzhou, according to Football Espana.

The Barcelona midfielder has reportedly agreed to join former Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande in a deal worth around 50 million euros.

The midfielder confirmed to reporters on Thursday evening that he had received two offers to leave Barcelona and reports in Spain suggests that a move that could see him return to China might not be far-fetched.

Paulinho was a part of Brazil’s squad to the World Cup, he was an integral part of the team appearing in all five appearances made by his country whilst scoring once.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man led Guangzhou to Asian Champions League glory as captain and he is certainly idolised by their fans.

The 29-year-old stands a chance to earn around 12 million euros a year should he decide to return to the Chinese club this summer. Guangzhou will be hoping to push the deal through before the Chinese transfer window closes on Saturday.
