Tributes from all over the football world have come Cristiano Ronaldoโs way after he became the all-time record international goalscorer.
Cristiano Ronaldo has broken Ali Daeiโs record as the all-time leading goalscorer in menโs international football.
The Portugal captain bagged two late headers in a World Cup qualifier against Ireland on Wednesday to seal his team a 2-1 comeback win and to etch his name further into the history books.
Ronaldo moved clear of Daeiโs 109 goal tally for Iran by scoring his 110th and 111th Portugal goals. He is once again a Guinness World Record holder and revealed on Friday morning that he is already targeting even more goals.
So as the tributes continue to come in, here are some of the best ones so far.
Pele
The Brazil legend congratulated Ronaldo on his Manchester United move recently and took to Instagram again to praise him for breaking Ali Daeiโs record.
Pele wrote: โCristiano, congratulations on breaking another record. You inspire us all with your ability to overcome any challenge.โ
