CD Leganes boss Mauricio Pellegrino isn’t giving up on the prospect of an upset, despite their 3-0 deficit to Real Madrid ahead of tonight’s second leg Copa del Rey last-16 tie

Despite a promising start at the Santiago Bernabeu last week, Leganes still ended up losing to Real after dropping off following Sergio Ramos’ first-half penalty.

Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius Junior then added two more goals in the second-half to give Leganes a daunting task of overturning a 3-0 deficit against the European champions at Butarque tonight.

“We will try to show the best version of ourselves to create scoring opportunities and take them,” said Pellegrino, according to Marca.

“First, we must win the game and so the focus will be on scoring the first goal. Hopefully, we can take the match to the point of progressing.”

Although Argentine forward Guido Carrillo (ankle) is out with Spanish midfielder Ruben Perez to undergo further tests to deem whether or not he will be fit for tonight’s encounter.
