Pep Guardiola’s agent has dismissed any claims that the City boss will be joining Bayern.

The Manchester side was humiliated at Anfield earlier. Since then, there have been reports that Pep Guardiola was unhappy with life at the Etihad stadium.

Following their defeat to Dortmund in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich sacked their coach Niko Kovac earlier this month. As Bayern continued to browse through the options, Hansi Flick took over the German champions for the time being.

If rumors are to be believed, Pep Guardiola was under serious consideration for the managerial role at Bayern.

But the City fans can unclench their fists as the Spaniard’s agent confirmed that he is to honor his contract. According to Guardiola’s agent, Josep Maria Orotbig, the 48-year old is happy in Manchester and has no desire to flee England.

“Pep is very happy in Manchester. His contract runs until June 2021,” Orotbig said, as per Daily Star.

“I haven’t spoken to anybody in Germany about him – neither with agents or club bosses.

“Pep has good memories of Munich and still has friends there. But he has never shown any interest in returning to Germany as a coach.

“This is something that would be just as impossible at the present time as last summer with Juventus.

“Guardiola always fulfills his contracts. I deny all rumors,” Josep Maria Orotbig insisted.
