The Atalanta president confirmed advanced talks for the Genk midfielder and hopes he can join the team soon.
Atalanta president, Antonio Percassi, has revealed advanced talks for Belgian Jupiler League midfielder Ruslan Malinovskiy.
The Genk footballer is close to signing for the team, as the president reveals what the future has in store for him.
“Malinovskiy is one of the possibilities on the market,” Percassi was quoted by Football Italia.
“People abroad are pleasantly surprised and congratulate us on our success, but above all, on the wonderful football we’ve developed.”
“We’ve got to keep our feet on the ground because when flying too high, we risk a nasty fall. Our first objective must be to secure Serie A status,” he added.
“There is so much enthusiasm and it’s marvelous to see so many people show their love for Atalanta.”
The president explained: “Gian Piero Gasperini is formidable and has done so much for Atalanta. We hope he can do even more over the next few years.”
“We thanked everyone, but now realize it’ll be an even more complicated preparation because everyone is waiting for us.”
“We’ll reinforce the squad, but already have solid foundations and Atalanta have been playing attractive football for three years now,” he continued.
“We are honored to play at San Siro and hope to put in good performances.”
