Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra, believes that former Juventus teammate Paul Pogba will also make history with Manchester United.

Ever since Paul Pogba left Juventus and started his new adventure at Manchester United, the French midfielder has been a target to all types of criticism and his former teammate Roberto Pereyra doesn’t seem to understand why this is.

The Manchester United player is still not one of the club’s most liked players, he has been constantly under the microscope for his life outside of the pitch and most of the United fans consider that he still has a lot of accomplishments to fulfill in order to be considered a club legend.

Even Manchester United former players like Paul Scholes or Rio Ferdinand, have come after Pogba by stating that he is not a leader and they don’t believe he will ever become a revered player at the club.

Contrary to this bad image that Pogba has developed in England, his former teammates at Juventus as well as the fans have a very fond memory of him.

There are countless times in which Pogba proved that he is one of the best players in the world, Manchester United paid the reported €110 million for a reason and this past at Juventus is the reason why a lot of people still defend Paul.

The Frenchman will go back to his former club’s stadium next week for the Champions League, he already spoke about the sensations he has just days before going back to the club where he won so many trophies.

But during that interview, Paul also spoke about the many rumors linking him to a possible return to Juventus and he confirmed that he has always considered Manchester United his home and he dropped a hint that he won’t give up that easily because he wants to succeed as a Red Devil.

“Coming back to Manchester United was like coming home. This has always been my home and it forever will be. My future is currently in Manchester.

“I still have a contract, I’m playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the near future. One thing I can assure you: I will always give 100 percent, no matter which coach I always give everything. I cannot say more,” he added.

But since the criticism and rumors won’t stop because of how sought-after Paul Pogba is, some support from a former teammate is always a great way to remember that this Frenchman really is a world-class player and it may be only a matter of time before he completely makes Manchester United his.

“I don’t know if Pogba and Mourinho have problems or not,” said Watford player Roberto Pereyra about Pogba on Goal.

“The last time that I saw Paul, I spoke with him and he told me that he was happy there in Manchester, that he was there with his family, that he was settled. He was making the most of things.”

“Then, certainly some things happened there between them but I don’t believe it was anything that serious.”

“Paul is a great player, that there is no discussion. I have played with him and he has amazing quality. He does things which not just any footballer can do.”

“It is true that at Juventus he did very well and now at Manchester United he has struggled a bit but it is still early.”

“I believe that if he is still at Man Utd next year or in two or three years, he will make history there.”

“They were two very beautiful years for me,” recalled Pereyra about his time at Juventus.

“I learned many things at a great club with great players. I learned a type of mentality and professionalism that is inside the dressing room of the club. These are things that you do not find in many clubs in Europe,” he concluded.
