Peter Bosz knows where Bayer Leverkusen’s prodigy Kai Havertz will go next but remains coy when asked to provide the information.
Havertz has been a subject of wild transfer rumors over the past few months, with multiple reports linking him with a £75million move to Chelsea.
Although Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all credited with an interest in the youngster, the Stamford Bridge outfit appear seemingly close to capturing his signature.
Talks between the parties are in an advanced stage, as Frank Lampard looks to announce Havertz as his third high-profile signing this summer after snapping up the likes of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
The 20-year-old is a generational talent and has managed to stand out in a squad already jammed full of world-class talents such as Leon Bailey, Nadiem Amiri, Kevin Volland, Karim Bellarabi, and Moussa Diaby.
Despite the young age, Havertz has been Leverkusen’s headline performer over the past couple of years.
The German forward has amassed 148 appearances for the Bundesliga side, notching 45 goals and laying on 31 assists to his teammates along the way.
The 56-year-old Dutch manager knows where the teenage sensation will continue his career but refused to disclose the information when asked so by the German outlet DPA.
“I won’t tell, it’s his [Havertz’s] business,” Bosz replied.
“I talk to Kai a lot and try to sense what all this does to him – the daily transfer rumors, for example – and I notice again and again that Kai handles it very well.”
He also remained mysterious when asked to tell when the move will take place.
“It’s impossible to say. Maybe the decisive call will come today, maybe next week, maybe not at all.”
