Out of favour Philippe Coutinho is interested in making a return to the Premier League, his agent Kia Joorabchian has confirmed.
Coutinho has struggled to replicate the form that saw Barcelona pay Liverpool £140m to secure his services back in 2018.
Despite some impressive numbers on the pitch, a season on loan at Bayern Munich has ended with injury and a failure to land a permanent switch with the club not interested in exercising their option to do so.
Many still believe Coutinho can revive his career and a return to the Premier League where he has once excelled with Liverpool is most likely his next destination.
The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham have circled around the 27-year-old and rumors will surely intensify now that his agent has confirmed a returm to the Premier League does interest the midfielder.
“Coutinho has a desire to come back to the Premier League at some point,” Kia Joorabchian told Sky Sports.
“It may not happen this year, it may happen this year – we don’t know. We have not discussed anything for now.”
Reports in Spain over the weekend claimed Barcelona could accept a £9m fee to take Coutinho on loan, a number Joorabchian has denied.
“I have never heard those figures,” the agent added. “None of these numbers have ever been discussed.”
