Ricardo Rodriguez’s agent has attributed AC Milan’s rise in form to the addition of Lucas Paqueta and Krzysztof Piatek.

Paqueta and Piatek have combined effectively to transform the fortunes of the club with the Milan based club making a late call for a Champions League spot.

Their form has led some fans to label them the new Kaka and Andriy Shevchenko at San Siro and the representative of their Rossoneri teammate has been pleasantly surprised by the pair.

“We’re all a little surprised by the impact of Paqueta and Piatek,” Gianluca Di Domenico told Football Italia.

“They’ve changed Milan. You don’t often see two players change a team so much. Gattuso’s team have always been proactive because the Coach wants the best from his players in every training session.

With the exit of Higuain to Chelsea, Milan made a swift move to secure the signing of the Polish striker who has been in superb form.

“However, it must be said that these two players have made a difference and no-one could’ve expected it, with all due respect to them and Higuain, who left.

Ancelotti: Italian football has a cultural problem

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti reckons the difference between Italian football and their European counterparts lies in the underlying cultural problems. Carletto, as he is fondly called,...

“Milan have become very dangerous: the group now have confidence and the dressing room, which was already united at times of difficulty, now has enthusiasm, which makes the Rossoneri really formidable.

“My only regret is that Milan are no longer in the Europa League because they could’ve gone a long way as they are now.”

Milan are in the fourth position and would fancy their chances in the Coppa Italia, their only hope for a silverware this season.
