Gerard Pique is on the receiving end of a lot of criticism this season for his off-the-pitch activities.
However, Pique brushed it all aside.
In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, the centre-back confirmed he will stay with Blaugrana for the rest of his career.
“I have always said my last team will be Barca.
“I have absolutely no intention of wearing any other shirt because… I have been a ‘Cule’ all my life. For me, being at Barca is the biggest dream of all.
“My intention is to get to 2022, but I don’t have a crystal ball and I don’t know if I’m going to be able to do it,” he said, as quoted by Goal.
Pique retired from the Spanish national team recently. This helped him focus on building his empire.
It looks like he’s succeeding, too. The new Davis Cup under his command launched earlier this week.
Having success both on and off the pitch, it looks like Pique has zero reasons to ever leave Catalonia.
