Cristiano Ronaldo has been most often than not a standout performer for Juventus, and the new boss is delighted to have him in the team.
Time and again, Cristiano Ronaldo has produced moments of magic to step up and be the difference-maker for Juventus.
One of Ronaldo’s most inspiring performances in Juve colors came in the 2018/19 Champions League Round of 16 match against Atletico Madrid, wherein he scored a hat-trick to turn the tie in his side’s favor.
There is no shortage of examples of the Portuguese rising to the occasion and saving the day for the Bianconeri, and Sunday night’s match against AS Roma was one of those matches.
The 35-year old bagged two goals, each to level the scoreline, to ensure his side does not walk away empty handed at the end of the game.
“We’re very glad to have Ronaldo, as he doesn’t just provide goals,” manager Andrea Pirlo told Sky Sports after the full-time whistle at Stadio Olimpico.
“He ran more when we went down to 10 men and that was a great help to his teammates.”
Ronaldo’s brace also saw him hit 450 goals combined at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, the only player to do so in Europe’s top five leagues in the history of football.
