Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to recover after contracting coronavirus, leaving his participation in the crucial Barcelona clash in doubts.
Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has been observing a period of self-isolation at home ever since testing positive for COVID-19 in the second week of this month.
The Portuguese forward has already missed three of his side’s games. His absence was felt as Juve failed to win two of those three matches.
What awaits up next for the Serie A champions is their biggest test of the season so far. They will be hoping to take to the pitch with their star player, but Ronaldo’s availability is still a question mark.
The ex-Real Madrid man was tested for COVID-19 on Monday and should the result turns out negative, he will be allowed to feature against a team he used to constantly wreak havoc on once.
The test results from CR7’s latest swab will come tonight and should it show an undesired outcome, he will have to wait until December to face his nemesis, Lionel Messi.
“We must wait for the outcome [of Ronaldo’s COVID-19 test], I think the result will come tonight,” Andrea Pirlo told in his pre-match press conference, according to Football Italia.
“First we wait for the outcome and then we’ll see. For now, everything is still on the high seas and then we’ll see. We hope to evaluate it, even if it’s hard after 15 days out.”
