Maurizio Sarri insists that he will still pick Miralem Pjanic if he sees fit regardless of the speculation.
Miralem Pjanic and Arthur Melo are involved in a transfer merry-go-round between Juventus and Barcelona.
This would obviously leave the clubs in a selection dilemma until anything is finalized. The risk of one of the players getting injured could ultimately scupper any deal that has been in the making for some time.
However, according to Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri, Pjanic will still be selected if he as the manager sees fit to do so.
According to Goal, the Bianconeri boss said:
“If he is sold, it’ll be for other reasons. He is not under discussion from a technical point of view.”
“But the club hasn’t given me any signals in that sense, so I don’t take it into consideration.”
“The discussions between him and me are on technical and mental aspects. He mustn’t worry if he misses a game, but he has to react quickly.”
“I’m happy with Miralem and I’m sure, in that role, he can improve further.”
As far as name dropping any new arrivals Sarri was giving little away.
“Arthur is a Barcelona player and I don’t want to talk about him.”
Barcelona fans are far from happy with the proposed deal. Will Pjanic become a Camp Nou legend or Camp Nou flop?
