Kenyan international, Victor Wanyama, was the protagonist of a summer transfer saga, but in the end, he is set to stay at Tottenham Hotspur.

During the summer transfer window, Kenyan international Victor Wanyama was set to leave Tottenham Hotspur.

But the 28-year-old didn’t move to Belgian side Club Brugge, staying with the Spurs in the end.

And now Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has stated that he still has plans for the midfielder.

“Victor [Wanyama] is in my plans. Christian [Eriksen] is in my plans,” Pochettino told Goal.

“Before I understood that we were in a difficult situation and, of course, we tried to help them, to help the club, to do their business. When it’s one player [who wants to leave], then OK.”

According to the Manchester United forward, his team shouldn't have drawn against Liverpool after he scored the first goal of the match.

“But when it’s a few players, who start to make it difficult to create a good dynamic, a positive dynamic …Now we need to start to win games. Be refocused and who is not refocused is going to be out,” he added.

“Always it’s difficult [to sell players] and then I think Tottenham have more rumors than other clubs.”

“In one month the rumors will start again,” Pochettino concluded.
