According to Daniele Pochettino, the chance that his cousin Mauricio Pochettino leaves Tottenham Hotspur and joins Juventus is big.
After Massimiliano Allegri announced he will leave Juventus at the end of the 2018-2019 Italian Lega Serie A season, many names popped up to replace him.
And one of them is Mauricio Pochettino, who has taken English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur to the UEFA Champions League Final against Liverpool.
“Pochettino as Allegri’s replacement at Juve? I think that this is very possible indeed,” said Mauricio’s cousin Daniele Pochettino according to Calcio Mercato.
“Mauricio has shown that he is a great coach and reaching the UCL final is proof of this.”
He added smiling: “UCL favorites? Well let’s see, I think both clubs have a good chance. Juve’s goal is the UCL and Mauricio can bring them to where they want to be. All of the family would like him to join Juve.”
“Would he want to coach in Italy? I think that he would like this yes. Let’s see what happens, in football, you can’t say never.”
“Coaching style? He always tried the get the most out of his players and push them to the max. He knows their limits and this is what makes him great,” he said.
“His coaching style reminds me a little bit of Antonio Conte’s. I think he would be a nice fit for the Bianconeri.”
