Pogba feels he was judged unfairly by Man United fans

French midfielder Paul Pogba, opened up about the constant criticism he got from the Man United fans since he arrived at the club.

Being one of the best players in the world is not easy when it comes to pressure, but Pogba was also one of the most expensive when he arrived at Man United.

The France international came from Juventus after the English club paid a record-breaking €110 million at the time, an amount that was surpassed by Neymar a year later.

However, Paul didn’t understand the consequences that came with being the most expensive player in the world.

The pressure was there from the very beginning, and it came from his own fans.

Paul didn’t have one of his best years, but he believes that he has improved his numbers and the criticism came due to the club’s overall performance.

The problem here is that Paul fails to understand why the fans have criticized him so much from the start.

The reality is that Paul Pogba is a player who decided to leave Manchester United because he wasn’t getting paid what he wanted.

After succeeding at Juventus, the man decided to come back to his youth academy as the most expensive player in history at the time.

Many of the diehard Manchester United fans didn’t like the way that Pogba conducted himself, his return was regarded as revenge from the player to the club.

When asked about the criticism, Pogba believes that it came for one reason: “Because it was the biggest transfer in history at the time, you get judged differently,” said Paul to The Life Times Podcast.

“They expect more from you because of the price tag. A good game would be a normal game. A top game would be a good game.”

“The first year we won trophies — we won three trophies. The second year we arrived second and this year we didn’t win.”

“But what I keep is just improving on my statistics, my individual stats. They have improved, so I guess I’m glad with that, although obviously that’s not enough, that’s not the thing.”

“The most important thing is to win, of course, to win with your team, to win trophies with your team, and that didn’t happen, so I try to help the team as much as I can. To see the improvement, that makes me proud as well, that makes me happy.”

“Every year I improved, so I guess it’s a good thing. I can make goals, in my mind the objective is to improve, to help the team as much as I can with assists, try to score goals, and I improved.”

“It’s a big amount. It went down when other transfers came, so it’s fine. I think it’s also because I’m a midfielder.”

Report: Juventus reach an agreement with Ajax for De Ligt

After his public announcement praising Cristiano Ronaldo, it appears that Matthijs de Ligt has agreed to join Juventus for the upcoming season. Juventus is going...

“People see more strikers because they score goals, so that’s why it made such a big impact. I don’t think [Neymar and Mbappe] get it because they’re strikers.”

“I knew it would come with it. I knew there would be a big impact. But I didn’t know it would go so negative.”

“When I signed, I wasn’t used to seeing so many negative comments. It was a big change. I was surprised. I didn’t know a price tag would change so much for people,” he added.

The relationship between Pogba and the fans needs to heal.

If Paul Pogba wants to remain at Manchester United, the player needs to start performing on the pitch and stop talking so much in public.

Red Devils’ fans who are old school and understand the club’s tradition, never really liked flamboyant players like Paul.

However, these incendiary personalities have been accepted when the player performs on the pitch and brings trophies to the club.

The best example we can give of this was Eric Cantona, who is a Manchester United legend.

Eric was always a trouble maker but the fans adored him because he always remained at the very top of the elite.

Even if Paul Pogba has improved his level of performance, the fans won’t forgive him if he doesn’t bring more important trophies to the club.

Many of those supporters who tend to come after the French midfielder have the feeling that the Red Devils are missing out on a very exciting era in Premier League football.

This club is currently the competition’s biggest joke and the fans believe Pogba is one of the men responsible for it.

This is the type of pressure that comes with a huge price tag, Pogba can either deal with it or leave the institution.
