An enthralling encounter awaits in the climax of the ‘group of death’ as the defending champions prepare to take on reigning world champions.

Portugal will go against France tonight for what is arguably the most high-profile fixture so far of the Euro 2020.

Portugal have all to play for as they sit at third place in Group F. They were humbled by Germany, who are level on points with them but are ahead on goal difference, in their previous outing and will be determined to bounce back.

France, on the other hand, sit atop the group table. They have attained qualification to the knockout stages but a failure to win tonight could see them lost the top spot.

The two teams are filled up to the brim with talent, and Ace Football presents a combined XI from the two sets of players ahead of the clash of the heavyweights.

Portugal vs France combined XI:

Cristiano Ronaldo continues his red-hot goalscoring form and, with three goals in two games, is in the race to win the Euro 2020 Golden Boot. Kylian Mbappe, meanwhile, is yet to open his Euro 2020 goalscoring account. He has managed to find the back of the net twice so far in each of France’s group stage outings but his goals were ruled out due to offside.

Paul Pogba has looked impressive in the tournament while his Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes hasn’t quite been able to hit his best form so far. Regardless, both players are well capable of causing the opponents trouble.

Raphael Guerreiro scored Portugal’s first goal of their Euro campaign in the 3-0 win against Hungary. Raphael Varane was elemental to France in keeping the German attackers at bay in their Euro opener.
