Positive news on knee injury for Bayern’s Coman

There has been positive news on the knee injury sustained by Bayern Munich Kingsley Coman.

Coman sustained what looked like a horrific knee injury during his sides 3-1 win over Tottenham in the Champions League.

Coman appeared to try and shift gears and direction with some sharp footwork.

All of a sudden his knee buckles awkwardly and he flips through the air.

Pictures of the incident give a clear indication of what his knee was subjected too in the incident.

It led to some serious concerns about how long he would be out.

The French winger has a history of injuries that have seen him ruled out for an extended period so of time.

However, Bayern Munich today released a statement confirming that the injury was not as bad a suspected.

Club Doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt told fcbayern.com the good news.

He said:

“Of course we were all scared at first.”

“But Kingsley has been very fortunate.”

“The investigations have shown that he will miss only three games and return for the team’s preparations in Doha.”
