Premier League clubs look likely to miss out on PSV star Steven Bergwijn

Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United all look set to miss-out on PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn.

According to TeamTalk, PSV winger Steven Bergwijn extended his contract with the club earlier this wee. This will keep the 21-year old with the Dutch club until 2023.

Bergwijn has been the subject of much interest from the Premier League this transfer window, with Manchester United, Wolves and Everton all showing interest at one time or another.

However, with the young winger having now extended his contract with PSV Eindhoven, it seems the speculation is settled and Bergwijn will be staying put.

It was believed that Bergwijn’s old contract had a €25 million release clause in it. However, it is very unlikely that any new contract will hold a price so low.

Nonetheless, with Man United having signed Daniel James, Everton opting to sign Alex Iwobi and Wolves focusing on Pedro Neto, a dream move to the Premier League is not looking likely this season for Bergwijn.
