As a new entry for the Premier League Legends, it’s time to talk about the legacy that Sergio Aguero left at Manchester City so far in his career.

Sergio Aguero is the latest entry in our Premier League Legends series, the Argentine striker is Manchester City’s best player ever.

There have been several great foreign players who graced the English competition with their presence, but Sergio Aguero has to be right up there next to the best.

This player can be compared with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Dennis Bergkamp, Didier Drogba, and even Thierry Henry.

In fact, ‘Kun’ is already one of the competition’s all-time top scorers and he has done everything in his power to reach the very top.

But getting to Alan Shearer’s level won’t be easy, the English striker scored an impressive 260 Premier League goals during his career with both Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United.

The best ‘Kun’ can hope for is reaching the second position, which is currently taken by Wayne Rooney’s 208 goals.

The Argentine has scored 164 Premier League goals with the Citizens so far, he is 44 goals away from the England legend but he is too far from Shearer at the moment.

The good news is that he is the only active player who still has a chance to reach the very top, all the others in the Top 10 are retired.

Aguero’s impact at Manchester City.

When he started his career in Europe for Atletico Madrid, nobody believed he would play in a club from the Premier League.

The Argentine was expected to someday become a Real Madrid player, but the English club convinced him to play for them and eventually remain as a Citizen for the rest of his career.

Perhaps the most compelling moment for him came during the 2011-12 season, which was the one where he scored that unforgettable winning goal against Queens Park Rangers.

That season was absolutely bonkers for Manchester City, they won their first Premier League title of their career.

Since then, Aguero has participated in another three titles with his goals and contribution.

The Citizens are considered one of the best clubs in Premier League history thanks to what he did during all this time, ‘Kun’ made sure that this club became one of the greats in world football.

Bernardo Silva, Manchester City, Premier League

BREAKING: Bernardo Silva fined for racism by the FA

Manchester City's ace, Bernardo Silva, was condemned for his racial tweet sent out to his friend and team-mate, Benjamin Mendy.

The idea with his arrival was to attract many more top players to accompany him, something that did wonders in the last decade.

Regardless of how many amazing players have decided to become Citizens, Aguero is still the brightest star in a massive constellation of amazing footballers.

How long does Aguero have left?

It’s hard to tell how much time Sergio Aguero has left at the highest level, Pep Guardiola still considers him one of the integral parts of the squad.

Last season proved that this player is still at the top of his game, his goals helped the club win a second straight Premier Leauge title against a very competitive Liverpool.

The next challenge will be to win the Champions League, which is the only title that has resisted Aguero and City since the Argentine became a player for this club.

Perhaps Sergio only has a few years left at the very top, but we can count on him to deliver great performances next season.

The recent knee surgery that Sergio Aguero had at the end of last year is very important for him and his club.

‘Kun’ was no longer feeling himself before he made the decision to go under the knife, he came back as a much more agile player after that.

Even Guardiola himself confirmed that Sergio has improved in many aspects of his game thanks to the surgery, he still has a few years left in him at the highest level.

We can’t wait to see where he ends up inside the all-time top scorers’ table. Regardless of what happens, ‘Kun’ is already a bonified Premier League Legend.
