Premier League predictions for top 6

The Premier League will be set for another match day at the weekend and things are looking a little tricky for a few of the top 6 sides.

While the Premier League has made a resounding return for the new campaign, we are a little worried about how some of the traditional top sides are doing at the moment. Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are struggling quite a bit and the upcoming match day might make things further complicated for them.

Liverpool V Newcastle United

While they haven’t really switched into another gear like we saw last season, we’re confident that the Premier League giants would be matching Manchester City blow by blow this season. Jurgen Klopp’s men are yet to lose in the league this season and the game against the Magpies is likely to stretch this run.

While they haven’t fared too bad so far, Steve Bruce’s side might find it difficult to keep up with Liverpool at Anfield. However, the result is unlikely to have a strong bearing on their survival hopes.

Predicted final score: Liverpool 3-0 Newcastle

Manchester United V Leicester

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first full season in the Premier League has not gotten off to a great start. After a resounding win over Chelsea, the Red Devils have draw twice and lost once with the recent 1-1 draw to Southampton showcasing all that’s wrong with the club.

The downward trend has just begun and needs to be take care of as they look to host Leicester at Old Trafford.

The Foxes are not an easy team to beat and with the way they’ve performed this season, Solskjaer’s side are likely to struggle for a draw let alone win this one. Confidence is very low so early in the season and this game would be another disappointment outing.

Predicted final score: Manchester United 1-1 Leicester

Wolves V Chelsea

Wolves have been in great form so far this season and are definitely not going to make it easy for any team at the Den. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are a well-organized group and make it really hard to score against.

Chelsea

Best XI: Chelsea in the 21st century

It is time for another Best XI piece, as we are naming Chelsea's best players in each position in the 21st century.

Chelsea on the other hand, are a team full of young players working under a manager who only just got off the mark in the Premier League. The game against the Wolves would be quite a test with the home side fully capable of taking advantage if an opportunity presents itself.

Predicted final score: Wolves 1-0 Chelsea

Tottenham V Crystal Palace

After playing a highly entertaining North London Derby, Spurs would be eager to add another win to their Premier League campaign at the expense of Palace. The Eagles would be confident regardless given their recent win at Old Trafford.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side aren’t going to be a sterile unit and are likely to win this encounter.

Predicted final score: Spurs 3-0 Palace

Norwich V Manchester City

The Premier League champions are in frightening form at the moment and the game against Norwich City would likely be another win for them.

Predicted final score: Norwich 1-2 City

Watford V Arsenal

After coming back from a two goal deficit, Arsenal have shown that they have the character to do well in the Premier League this time around. The game against Watford isn’t going to be an easy one but the Gunners have enough ability in the squad to get all three points.

Predicted final score: Watford 1-2 Arsenal
