The Premier League have announced they will be launching a Hall of Fame category in March with two players to be inducted from the start.

The Premier League have revealed plans to launch it’s official Hall of Fame next month.

The Hall of Fame will recognize players with exceptional skill and talent since the competition was renamed in 1992.

Membership of the Premier League Hall of Fame will be the highest individual honour awarded to players by the League.

The first two players to be inducted into this illustrious category would be announced on the 19th of March.

As per the report on the Premier League website, there will also be a fan vote where a shortlist of nominees will initially be announced.

The fans would then be allowed to vote to help select additional players to the two inducted players from the onset.

To be eligible for the Hall of Fame award, players must be retired and only a player’s league career is considered.

We can only start thinking who the initial two inductees would be? Alan Shearer? Thierry Henry? Van Nistelrooy? Only time will tell.
