PSG join the race to sign Matteo Guendouzi

Mikel Arteta does not want Matteo Guendouzi at Arsenal and it looks as if he will return to the club that developed him during his youth. 

Matteo Guendouzi’s temper tantrum against Brighton & Hove Albion sealed his fate. The French midfielder has been out of the first-team reckoning and didn’t even travel for the FA Cup final against Chelsea. 

Mikel Arteta has ruled over his fate and he seems to be on his way out. Barcelona have been linked with a move to sign him. 

It was speculated that Guendouzi would be part of the player swap that brought Philippe Coutinho back to the Premier League. He was also linked with a move to Atletico Madrid as Arsenal mulled over signing Thomas Partey.

Unai Emery’s arrival at Villarreal linked him with a move to El Madrigal. The rumor mill is full of speculations taking him away from the Emirates Stadium. 

However, it looks all these rumors will remain rumors. The Daily Mail has now reported that Paris Saint Germain wants to add him to their ranks. 

Guendouzi was brought up by the Parisians before he joined Lorient in search of first-team opportunities. 

Thomas Tuchel needs first-team reinforcements and the midfielder fits the bill. Moreover, his addition would add to their home grow quota for Ligue 1 and Champions League fixtures.

Guendouzi would prefer the move as it takes him back to Paris and allows challenging for top honors.
